About Us

100_6030_396x297.shklOur Congregation’s Name

Jesus said, “I am the good shepherd.  The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep” (John 10:11)

Our Purpose

Our purpose is what Jesus told His church to do:  “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.  Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. ‘ Amen. ” (Matthew 28:18-20)

A Christ-Centered Church

We are a Christ-centered, confessional congregation holding the historic Lutheran faith. We value faithfulness in adhering to the Holy Scriptures in doctrine and practice.

A Biblical Church

We believe the Bible to be the inspired, infallible, inerrant and authoritative Word of God. We use the Bible as the sole authority in all of our Christian doctrines or teachings. We believe, as Scripture says, “that man is saved by God’s grace through faith in Christ as our Lord and Savior.”

A Word and Sacrament Church

We gather together regularly for worship and to hear the Word of God taught in its truth and purity. We believe in God’s precious and powerful Means of Grace, including the Sacrament of the Altar and the Sacrament of Holy Baptism.

A Confessional Church

We believe, teach, confess, and practice individually and as a congregation, the Lutheran Confessions as contained in the Book Of Concord as a true, concise, and correct exposition of God’s Word.

A Liturgical Church

We are a liturgical church, words taken from Holy Scripture and from the early days of the Christian Church. We are never ashamed of what it says, nor hesitant to use such glorious and unchanging truths to proclaim the true God of heaven and earth in an ever-changing and uncertain modern world.

An Educational Church

We maintain an active, loving, and competent Christian Education staff for the Children in Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. We offer Bible Classes, Catechetical Instruction, and various other group activities within God’s Church for further spiritual education, service, and growth in God’s kingdom.

A Growing Church

We are growing spiritually and maturing in our faith in Jesus Christ. We take an active part in support of mission work at home and abroad.

A Church With A Christian PurposeIMG_0696

We have a desire and purpose to bring people to Christ and Christ to people. By God’s grace, we will individually and corporately grow spiritually in our faith, and find the true peace that God gives in our daily lives.
